NRCan is supporting Canadians in building Zero Emission Vehicle infrastructures through the Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program.

Why Participate

The program is now open for applications until September 19, 2024. Don’t miss out on this electrifying opportunity!

Funding Availability:

  • 50% of project costs covered
  • Up to $5M per project
  • Per charger limits apply (see the table below for specifics)

Funding Streams:

  • Public EV Charging:
    • Corridor infrastructure: Highways and core routes
    • Community infrastructure: Public areas, especially those filling gaps in the network
  • Private EV Charging:
    • Existing buildings (e.g., Multi-Unit Residential Buildings (MURBs), workplaces, fleets)
    • Minimum installation requirements:
      • Two (2) fast chargers (50 kW+)
      • Twenty (20) Level 2 or 3 chargers
    • Public installations must be available 24/7 (or according to site operating hours)
