Terms of Service

Welcome to Sustainable Projects Group ("SPG", "we", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of suspg.com and any subdomains (the "Site"), as well as our professional energy, decarbonization, and capital-planning services (the "Services"). By using the Site or engaging us for Services, you agree to these Terms.
If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to that organization.
1. Who we are
Sustainable Projects Group is a Canadian energy and decarbonization firm. Our head office is at 3122 114 Ave SE, Calgary, AB T2Z 3V6, Canada. You can reach us at hello@suspg.com.
2. Use of the Site
You may use the Site to learn about our Services, request information, register for events, download permitted materials, and contact our team. You agree to use the Site lawfully, to provide accurate information when submitting forms, and not to interfere with the Site's operation, security, or access controls. You may not scrape the Site, attempt to reverse-engineer it, or use it to transmit malicious code.
3. Intellectual property
The Site, our brand marks, and all content we publish — including written copy, frameworks like the Building Improvement Cycle (BIC), our RETRO execution model, and our JOBI and FTSO product names — are the intellectual property of SPG or our licensors. You may share short excerpts with attribution to suspg.com. Substantive reuse, republication, or commercial use requires our written permission.
Materials we provide to you under a signed engagement (proposals, reports, deliverables) are governed by the engagement agreement, not by these Terms.
4. Services agreements
Our Services are delivered under separate written agreements (statements of work, master services agreements, or proposals signed by both parties). Nothing on the Site constitutes a Services agreement, a binding offer, or a guarantee of outcomes. Engagement-specific terms — including scope, fees, deliverables, schedule, warranties, and indemnities — are set out in those signed agreements.
5. No professional advice without engagement
Information on the Site, in our blog posts, and in our marketing communications is general in nature. It is not engineering advice, financial advice, legal advice, or a professional opinion on any particular building, portfolio, incentive program, or transaction. Do not act on Site content without a signed Services agreement and a building-specific scope.
6. Third-party links and tools
The Site links to and embeds third-party tools (HubSpot Meetings, Zoom, payment processors, video hosts). When you use those tools, the third party's terms and privacy policies apply in addition to ours. We are not responsible for third-party services or their content.
7. User submissions
When you submit information through forms, surveys, or polls, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that information to respond to you, deliver requested materials, and improve our content. We will not sell your personal information.
8. Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep it accurate and online, but we do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or current at every moment. We disclaim all implied warranties to the extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SPG, its directors, officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Site, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Our total liability arising from your use of the Site is limited to CAD $100. Liability under signed Services agreements is governed by those agreements.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold SPG harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of applicable laws.
11. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our [Privacy Policy](/privacy-policy). By using the Site you also accept the Privacy Policy.
12. Cookies and tracking
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies, as described in our [Cookie Policy](/cookies). You can manage cookie preferences from the cookie banner or your browser settings.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on this page; the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Alberta, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any jurisdiction to protect our intellectual property.
15. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and SPG regarding use of the Site.
