Tayber Yastremski
M.Eng, CEM


Tayber is the principal of Sustainable Projects Group and has overseen more than 100 energy audits in Canada. As a member of the Alberta Energy Efficiency Alliance he has been a major proponent in promoting industrial energy efficiency incentives in Alberta. He holds the energy seat on the board of directors for CANSEAT, which works to bring sustainable design practices into Canadian Engineering.

Shaun Walker
Master Electrician, FSR-A, CEM

General Manager

Shaun Walker is a Master Electrician who started his electrical career in 2004. Beginning in 2013, Shaun expanded into a Project Manager role with Cal Alta Projects. Shaun has continued his career in project management, leading him to his role at Sustainable Projects Group overseeing the installation of hundreds of high-efficiency upgrades including multi-residential, commercial and industrial lighting projects.


Roxanne Molnar

Business Development Manager

Roxanne Molnar is an expert in handling client projects with 17 years experience in the waste management industry, 15 years of outside sales experience and 5 years building the Alberta market from a consultative approach. Roxanne has worked with some of the largest property management companies in Canada, has had a great deal of success in the industrial sector in some cases saving companies $100,000 to a quarter of a million dollars putting that money back in their budgets for other sustainability projects.


Michael Maclean
Master Electrician

Service Manager

Michael Maclean is the Service Manager for Sustainable Projects Group. During his 20 years as an acting electrician. Michael has been involved in all facets of the electrical field including projects in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Michael has participated in a diverse range of projects during his time with SPG, including the installation of wind turbine towers, high efficiency boilers and numerous LED lighting projects. Michael earned his Master Electrician ticket in 2014, and he continues to further his education and expertise in the field.


Brent Downey

Energy Team Manager

Brent's areas of expertise are broad-based, including extensive knowledge on multi-residential, commercial, and industrial energy auditing, technical and analytical data processing, energy conservation measures, and energy efficiency project management. Since joining Sustainable Projects Group in 2017, Brent has become an essential part of the Energy Auditing team, representing a strong group of focused individuals who pride themselves on their perseverance and determination in creating a cleaner energy future.


Cheska Ronquillo
EIT, LEEDD Green Associate

Energy Project Manager

Cheska Ronquillo graduated from the UofC with a B Sc. in Geomatics Engineering in 2017 with a focus on land use planning and sustainable development. She joined the Sustainable Project’s Group team as an Energy Project Manager (II) specializing in green building practices (LEED v4, BOMA eEnergy Management) and building energy modelling (CANQUEST, DiaLUX). Her roles include: project coordination, energy auditing, and acts as a technical writing lead for energy analysis reporting.


Jobin George

Lighting specialist

Jobin George is part of SPG team since 2016. He earned his Master of Science in Physics in 2015, from the University of Calgary and since then he has been working in the LED lighting industry. His responsibilities include performing customer energy and lighting audits, designs, and take-offs and recommend lighting solutions.


Marcelo Martinez

Energy Auditor

Marcelo Martinez obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary in 2016, and then his passion for sustainability led him to obtain a European Master of Science in Renewable Energy at Loughborough University. Since joining the company, Marcelo has become a valuable team player by learning and applying the principles of energy auditing, analyzing energy data, and calculating and proposing energy conservation measures for commercial, residential, and
industrial projects


Aislinn Ptolemy

Energy Project Administrator

Aislinn is interested in all things earth and environmental science. In the past she has conducted fluvial geomorphological research and fieldwork within the Kananaskis region of Alberta. Aislinn’s unique interest in earth science and sustainability ultimately led her to her position with Sustainable Projects Group. During her time with the company, Aislinn has become a vital member of Sustainable Projects Group’s energy and administrative teams.


Angie Vargas

Operations Administrator

Angie Vargas facilitates the installation of high efficiency systems in commercial, residential and industrial markets. Her responsibilities include, facilitating work in the Operations department by maintaining active communication with subtrades and engineers. Angie also aids in analytical data-processing for energy audit projects. Since joining Sustainable Projects Group in July 2018, Angie has facilitated the project planning of multiple energy efficiency projects.


Jonathan Casey
Master Electrician


Jonathan has been working in the electrical trade since 2007. He has been working in both the multi-family and custom residential homes as well as commercial projects. He recently received his master’s certification in electrical. His hobbies include both boxing and football and coaching his kids’ sports teams.


Peter Spaargaren
Journeyman Electrician


Pete began working on high-rise buildings in Calgary and moved to oil and gas in Fort McMurray around 2007. In 2013, Pete moved back to Calgary to work as a foreman on commercial projects, which eventually lead him to his position at Sustainable Projects Group. Pete has participated in a variety of electrical projects, ranging from installing Tesla chargers in residential properties, wiring electricity and lighting of commercial cranes and installing VFD’s and high efficiency boilers in commercial and industrial facilities.


Mike Corry

Electrical Journeyman

Mike has previously worked on numerous oilfield projects spanning from Northern British Columbia to southern Manitoba. After receiving his Journeyman certificate, Mike began working in Data Center construction, where he specialized in the installation of medium voltage switchgear, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and battery systems, as well as backup generator installations. Mike joined the SPG group in September of 2018, with the important goal of contributing to a company that focuses on efficiency and sustainability.
