If you have a good understanding of building sciences or experience working in trades as well as possess a passion for sustainability and wanting to make a mark on the way Canadian businesses operate, you will likely be a good fit with our team. The SPG team focuses on energy assessments, implementation of energy efficiency technologies, and corporate sustainability planning; your role on our team will be working with our Energy Team to assess and apply new technologies and principals to buildings that will directly impact how Canadian companies operate.

The Energy Analyst II will work directly under the supervision of the Energy Team Manager and assist in all tasks associated with identifying and executing energy efficiency projects. A focus will be placed on lighting, HVAC, control systems, water efficiency and solar projects. This position will be based primarily in the office and will focus on the energy analysis, energy modelling, benchmarking, carbon emissions calculations, and report generation from the energy audit findings.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of direct educational or work experience in energy auditing, energy management, engineering, or building operating. However, other highly technical individuals who can prove a high aptitude in organization as well as interest in sustainability projects may be considered.

Beyond the technical aspects of the job, the candidate will be given training on energy efficiency and sustainability concepts, technical report writing, managing client relationships and interviews, and managing relationships with vendors and contractors. SPG provides in-house training for industry specific knowledge and will host leadership training through a curriculum given by a private provider.
